Engineering Document Management and Collaboration Software that allows engineering, architectural and constraction companies to significantly improve their data management practices, making life easier for both designers and engineers. Based on Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft SQL Server, VitroCAD enables efficient collaborative workflow whilst maintaining a high level of security.

VITROCAD FEATURES:

CENTRAL DATA ACCESS. All project metadata is centrally stored in SharePoint to prevent data loss, ensuring version control and an up-to-date audit trail.
DOCUMENTS AND DRAWINGS SEARCH. Supported document types include DWG, DGN, DST, XLS, DOC, PDF, PPT and many more. Being able to search by attribute, content, keyword or metadata is a key benefit.
DRAWINGS CHECK IN/OUT. Full support for collaborative work with drawings under a version control policy. You can see the file status in the repository and who is working on which file in order to coordinate activity within the team. When a drawing is checked out from the repository it is reserved for exclusive use, and is locked for any other changes. When the work is done, the file can be checked in back for the team to access the latest up-to-date version.
VERSION CONTROL. Keeps all of the company's drawing and engineering documents in order. From a user's point of view it saves time and effort, and prevents users from working on the wrong version of a file. When working with a parent/child relationship in a document library, VitroCAD version control checks that related files are linked to the correct version of the edited document.
ATTRIBUTE SYNCHRONIZATION. VitroCAD automatically extracts attributes from multiple database properties locations and fills title block areas for CAD drawing and engineering documents, including even documents with multiple layers or layouts.
CAD PLUG-INS. VitroCAD has been integrated with ZWCAD, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Inventor, Revit, BricsCAD, ArchiCAD, and many others. Plug-ins provide access to all functions without need to switch windows.
USER INTERFACE. VitroCAD has been fully integrated with Windows Explorer that allows users to work with documents and drawings through a very familiar interface.
X-REF SUPPORT. VitroCAD allows to work directly with both: attached or overlay external references: finding, inserting, editing and updating them as needed.
ENGINEERING PROJECT TEMPLATES. Supports project documents, drawings and folder structure and allows to standardize it for future use.
MICROSOFT INTEGRATION. Fully intergated with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
WORKFLOWS. VitroCAD has 3 built-in workflow processes in Standard shipment: direct, parallel, and sequential approval or you can use VitroCAD Process Manager to significally appreciably enhance you approval workflows.
